That stands as the longest IPL final match record. Gujarat Titans of Seba and Chennai Super Kings squared off. It was worthwhile to watch the IPL 2023 final match.

The IPL 2023 final was spoiled by rain. May 28 was scheduled to be the date of that fantastic match. The match was originally scheduled for reserve day, May 29, due to weather. However, fate had other plans in mind.

The rain started again when Chennai Super Kings started chasing runs. After that the match has to be stopped. Finally on 30th May the match started again at 12.10 and ended at 01.35.

The Chennai Super Kings chose to bowl in this May 30 IPL final after winning the toss. The Gujarat Titans had a fantastic innings when they batted first.

For Gujarat, Sai Sudarshan scored 96 runs off of 47 balls. Gujarat then lost four wickets in 20 overs while amassing 214 runs.

As the Chennai Super Kings were chasing runs, the rain started. The game then paused for a bit. Because of the weather, the Chennai Super Kings were set a goal of 171 runs in 15 overs.

The opening duo from Chennai scored 74 runs. After 26 runs, Ruturaj Gaikwad went out of the game. The final two balls needed to score ten runs. To win the match, Ravindra Jadeja made two fours and a six. That match was won by the Chennai Super Kings by five wickets.
