Kids shouldn't use social media excessively, according to Elon Musk

Delhi, New: Tech mogul Elon Musk called attention to the detrimental impacts of social media on Friday, stating that children may experience severe consequences from excessive use. In an article on X.com, he stated, "A lot of social media is bad for kids."

Speaking virtually at the recent VivaTech conference in Paris, Musk emphasized the significance of controlling kids' access to digital platforms. He pointed out that young people are especially susceptible to advanced AI algorithms that maximize dopamine levels to increase user engagement.

Musk "implores parents to restrict their children's exposure to social media."

"Social media AIs are fiercely competing to maximize dopamine!" The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, who is a father of nine children,

stated last year that he may have made a mistake in never limiting his children's use of social media.

"They are designed by YouTube and Reddit. He had stated, "I would supervise what kids are seeing and limit social media a little more than in the past.

Additionally, he has criticized Meta's Facebook and Instagram, saying that these platforms' capabilities have made it easier for child exploitation to occur.
