According to police in Dhaka and Kolkata, Anwarul Azim left Gopal Biswas' house at noon on May 13 and went to a flat in Sanjiva Gardens, New Town, Kolkata. He was killed there. A General Diary (GD) was filed by Gopal Biswas at the Barahnagar police station in Kolkata on May 18 regarding his disappearance. While investigating the disappearance, the Kolkata police got information that there were two persons named Syed Amanullah and Shilasti Rahman in that flat.
